About PBX

PBX means private branch exchange.  It is a way to receive calls on more than one phone at a time and it can also be forwarded to other phones.  PBX providers try to target small businesses because you are able to forward your calls to your cell phone, home phone, of office phone.  You can have one number that rings on all your phones.  You can even step it up so it ring to multiple people at the same time.

With most providers you don’t need any hardware or anything.  They give you a number and you can manage everything about that number from one place.  You can set up menus with different options going to different phones.  This would be great to send all the calls about a certain subject to one person (like, “for tech questions press 1″) or have a dial-by-name directory.

PBX is the best way to make your business look professional when customers call in.

  • No set-up Fees
